GEÇ DEVİR OSMANLI VE ERKEN CUMHURİYET DÖNEMİNE TARİHLENEN MEZAR TAŞLARININ BEZEME DÜNYASI

Anadolu’da tarihi çağlardan itibaren kesintisiz bir biçimde izi sürülebilen mezar yapıları tasarım ve bezeme çeşitliliği ile zengin bir görünüm arz eder. Yine bunlar söz konusu özellikleriyle her dönemin ya da uygarlığın dini, kültürel, ekonomik veya toplumsal yapısına da ışık tutmakta, aynı zamanda beğenilerini ve etkileşimini de yansıtmaktadır. Dolayısıyla günümüze kadar oldukça uzun bir tarihi sürece sahip mezar yapılarının değerlendirilmesi bu çalışmanın kapsamını aşmaktadır. Bu nedenle Osmanlı’nın son dönemleri ile genellikle Cumhuriyet’in ilk yarısına denk gelen ve daha çok Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde karşımıza çıkan lahit formlu ve bezemeli mezar örneklerine odaklanılmıştır. Bunlar arasından Erzincan’ın Çayırlı İlçesi’nde Başköy, Sarıgüney ve Yaylakent köylerinde yer alanlar özellikle seçilmiştir. Çünkü bu yerleşim yerlerinde bulunan mezarlar; uzun tarihi bir sürece sahip olmaları, muazzam bezeme çeşitliliği ve nicelikleri ile ön plana çıkmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında bu mezarların üretimleri, tasvir dünyası, dönüşümleri ve dönemsel etkileşimleri irdelenmeye çalışılmış ve yüzden fazla mezar olduğu için konuyu görsel olarak destekleyebilecek örnekler kullanılmıştır.

Tomb structures, which can be traced uninterruptedly since historical times in Anatolia, present a rich appearance with a variety of designs and decorations. Again, with these features, they shed light on the religious, cultural, economic or social structure of each period or civilization, and also reflect their tastes and interaction. Therefore, the evaluation of tomb structures, which have a very long historical process until today, is beyond the scope of this study. For this reason, the focus is on tombs with sarcophagus form and decoration, which coincide with the last periods of the Ottoman Empire and the first half of the Republic, and mostly in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Among these, those located in the villages of Başköy, Sarıgüney and Yaylakent in the Çayırlı District of Erzincan were especially selected. Because the tombs found in these settlements stand out with their long historical background, extensive variety of decorations, and quantities. In the scope of the study, the production, imagery, transformations, and periodical interactions of these tombs have been examined, and examples that can visually support the subject have been used due to the presence of over a hundred tombs.
